Imperatrice Eugenie Salad Plate. The Impératrice Eugénie pattern is based on a design created for the Empress Eugénie. The original pattern is on display in the Haviland Porcelain Museum in Limoges. The Empress Eugénie contributed a great deal to the cultural life of the Court and France, and helped to create the Napoleon III style. In the language of flowers, the violet stands for modesty and decency. The blue color is they symbol of fidelity. Each piece is edged with gold. Fine china dinnerware from Haviland Limoges.
