Calaisio products are handmade by artisans from remote villages in the South Pacific. They vines they use to construct them – called “vignes d’eau” or water-vines – only grow in remote mountain jungles. Once reaped, the vines grow back quickly, leaving no damage in their native forests. Calaisio, Inc. is committed to investing a substantial amount of its profits back into these villages to further improve education and infrastructure. It takes anywhere from one to seven days to head-weave into a finished design. The final products are durable, heat-resistant and elegant.
